ANTI-THEFT-LOCK

HOW DOES THE ANTI-THEFT LOCK FEATURE WORK?

Just by creating an account and registering your product in the SOUNDBOKS app, you will be able to lock the speaker to be usable only with your devices. If it’s lost or stolen, you can lock it until its return.

 

WHY DO I SEE SPEAKER LOCK/UNLOCK AS “PENDING”?

The lock/unlock feature is pending when the SOUNDBOKS is turned off. Turn it on, and you’ll be able to lock or unlock it with the account with which your product is registered. 

 

WHY IS MY SPEAKER BLINKING RED?

If the UI of your speaker is blinking red, most functions in the App are disabled and no music is coming out of it, it means that your speaker is locked. Log into your SOUNDBOKS account. If the SOUNDBOKS is registered under your account, you can unlock it by clicking on the lock icon in the control drawer or go to 'My Devices'. If these options aren’t working, contact your place of purchase for assistance or contact our SOUNDBOKS support team.  

REGISTRATION OF YOUR SOUNDBOKS

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

If this is your first SOUNDBOKS product, you’ll need to create a profile in the SOUNDBOKS App. When you do, you’ll be prompted to register your product. 

Keep in mind, that you can only register the SOUNDBOKS Gen. 3 or the SOUNDBOKS Go so far, as only those two devices are compatible with the app. 

If you have a profile in our App already, you can register a new product in your profile section under “My Devices”.

 Open the app and it will scan and find your product. Select the product you want to register, wait for the orange circle to close and tap Continue.

Fill in your SOUNDBOKS product information, including:

  • place of purchase (SOUNDBOKS official Amazon Shop, our SOUNDBOKS official webshop, and “Other” for any other retailer or seller)
  • order number and/or invoice number 
  • and/or the serial number of your device (found in the battery slot). 

After you have provided the information, please follow the instructions in the App.

You have now successfully registered your SOUNDBOKS product and have access to advanced security features + more.
